Where to live in Scottsdale

South Scottsdale

South Scottsdale which had been known for many years as a town for working class has evolved to become a dynamic urban center. It hosts a major portion of city’s nightlife. It is one of the main art centers of Phoenix. South Scottsdale has transformed itself so much so that it is now home to a research center for Arizona State University, which is also known as SkySong. It came into existence because of collaboration between local businesses, global companies and the University.

Old town Area

Old town area of the city is also the main cultural district of the city. It has western art galleries, old fashion street, nightclubs, restaurants, and bars. It also has Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall, which is one of the twenty largest malls of the United States.

Shea Corridor

Shea Corridor (Central Scottsdale) is called so because of its proximity to the east to west running Shea Boulevard. A large portion of the homes in this area was built during 1970s. The property price skyrocketed during 1990s, and it is one of the most desirable places to live in Scottsdale.

North Scottsdale

Ask a Scottsdale real estate agent, and he will tell you that this area is not for everyone. Some of the Scottsdale homes in this part are among the America’s most expensive houses. Price tags of many houses run well over $5 million mark. This is posh, and if the houses in this locality suit your budget then nothing like it.

These are the four main neighborhoods of Scottsdale, and depending upon your budget you can ask your Scottsdale real estate agent to show you Scottsdale homes in one or more neighborhoods. Your choice of the neighborhood will also depend on the lifestyle of the neighborhood and facilities over there.
